SAFE

This app lets you raise money for your company using a standard Y-Combinator Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE) (post-money-valuation-cap version).

Your company will receive the investment funds in USDC, and the investor will receive a non-fungible-token representing their ownership of the SAFE. The process is entirely onchain & peer-to-peer, MetaLeX never has custody of your funds.

The signing and funding process is non-custodially automated by smart contracts on the Designated Blockchain System (Ethereum or one of its L2s).

The SAFE token is initially non-transferable, and only you can determine whether to make it transferable in the future; you can also void the SAFE token in the future and switch to old-fashioned paper certificates or centralized ‘book-entry’ format.

As with the standard YC-SAFE, you should only use this app to raise money from “accredited investors” in compliance with the SEC’s Regulation D, and you should treat the SAFE and SAFE token as a “restricted security”.
